PACE THE CRATER
Pace the crater, measure the grave
Of an ancient traveler that wouldn't behave
Feel the pressure, shock of the wave
Sense the purpose of the life he gave
Span the moment of a life unatoned
Another cycle, another king dethroned
Curious fate for an ancient stone
For one more chapter, well, the end's postponed
Say goodbye to the world that made you a slave
And deny all your lies, and the promises made
But hold on to the tokens of love that you gave
As you pace the crater, and wait to be saved
Live the laughter and carry the tune
You were stricken by fire and fed by the spoon
Touch of the hand, taste of harpoon
Another scar on the face of the moon
Across the crater at the mouth of a cave
A stone was moved, a path was paved
Live impatience as we wait for the wave
The sky will open and we'll all be saved
